When you contact Dove & Hawk to register your vacancy, you will be directed to your dedicated area expert. Our consultants have extensive and specialist experience in the sector you will be recruiting.

Once you have decided to enter into partnership with Dove & Hawk, we will arrange a mutual date to meet your area consultant.

This meeting will help your consultant understand your priorities for the position including the skill set and areas of expertise you require, the salary you wish to pay and your corporate culture.

The meeting will be held in a consultative manner and give you the opportunity to raise any queries and questions with your recruitment expert, including: whether your brief best fits a different format of search, market conditions, candidate availability, suitable package, timing and so on.

Upon the sign off of the position your area expert will commence the search. Dependent on the style of search required some of the below tasks may or may not be relevant.

Your area expert will now:

  1. Commence a computer search of our database for suitable candidates.
  2. Make calls to prospects informing them of the opportunity and ascertain their interest
  3. Provide daily progress reports on extend of search and daily results.
  4. Use Search & Selection headhunting techniques to identify other candidates who we know of but may not currently be on our database
  5. Produce initial shortlist of prospects
  6. Conduct reference checking on prospects currently unemployed
  7. Provide you with any relevant executive profiles, references and personality profiles
  8. Forward CV's of prospects you have an interest in and agree a time to follow these up.
  9. Follow up CV's to arrange interviews
  10. Confirm and manage interview diaries for you and the prospects.
  11. Prepare candidates for interview stage to ensure they understand the role and have all relevant information
  12. De-brief candidate after interview to ascertain their interest and thoughts
  13. Provide honest and full feedback from prospect to you, whilst ascertaining your feedback
  14. Diarise next round of interviews if necessary or alternatively re-visit vacancy details
  15. Assuming successful conclusion of interview, conduct negotiations of offer on your behalf
  16. Conduct 360 reference checking – manager’s, line manager’s, colleagues, informal and formal
  17. Inform unsuccessful candidates of their rejection
  18. Obtain successful candidates acceptance and start date
  19. Provide counteroffer counselling before resignation, re-affirming the reasons for changing jobs
  20. Assist candidate with the writing of the resignation letter
  21. Perform candidate check-in on first day of employment
  22. Perform after care consultancy with both you and candidate to aid with any outstanding issues
