My client, an established property firm in North West London are looking to recruit an experienced Accountant to join their team. This organisation has led the local market for 30 years through investing in and developing buildings in prime locations and then managing them to the very highest standards.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Managing a team of one Accounts Assistant
  • Allocation of incoming rents from Private / DSS and Universal tenants, understanding the different processes for allocation;
  • Running Rental Income and Arrears reports on a weekly / fort weekly basis;
  • Raising BACS and International Payments;
  • Preparations of monthly Cashflows for various properties;
  • Assisting the Property Department and External Accountants with all accounting related queries;
  • Provide ad-hoc general accounting assistance to the internal Financial Accountant;
  • Preparation of Service Charges;
  • Prepare Compliance and Reporting to relevant banks on a quarterly basis;
  • Investigating discrepancies with DWP payments received;
  • Reporting of income and arrears to external lenders on a quarter basis;
  • Management Fees to be prepared and issued on a basis monthly;
  • Detailed reconciliation of Tenant's rent accounts from the Property Management Team;
  • Preparation of forecasting for the company's Property Portfolio;
  • Special projects as needed;
  • Preparation of monthly payroll.



Key Skills and Experience

  • Qualified or part qualified CIMA, ACA or ACCA;
  • Minimum 5+ years' experience or QBE in Accounts Payable function;
  • Knowledge with a large portfolio of properties would be an advantage;
  • Demonstrable experience of implementing new processes - improving the overall AP process;
  • A team player who can develop and maintain good relationships and gain the confidence of other professionals both within the Company and Externally;
  • Ability to work within strict deadlines with a high level of accuracy and remain calm in a busy environment;
  • Leadership skills involving managing, coaching, and developing your team to obtain maximum productivity;
  • Provide support to the Property and Maintenance departments;
  • Strong IT skills in Excel, knowledge of PivotTable, VLOOKUPS, IF functions and Macros;
  • Knowledge of Sage Line 50 would be an advantage.



Salary: £30,000 - £35,000
Hours: 9am - 5.30pm (Mon - Fri)
