Dove & Hawk have exclusively been instructed on a new Estate Manager position with a very unique and successful company based in East London. Our Client offer short and long-term lets to clients in beautiful furnished fully-serviced apartments within a residential tower overlooking the City. They are currently looking for a very experienced Residential Estate Manager with plenty of Service Charge and Section 20 experience who can effectively oversee the running of the full building. Qualifications are not essential but would be preferred.

Duties will include:

  • Overseeing the annual service charge budgets and reporting monthly to Owners
  • Prepare and serve Section 20 notices when needed
  • Support the Letting team generally
  • Recovering service charges for over 200 apartments
  • Managing staff and relevant employment related issues.
  • Overseeing external contractors, property maintenance and major works
  • Building strong working relationships with residents, guests and colleagues
  • Meeting with leaseholders to develop new business
  • Dealing with insurance renewals
  • Reporting arrears
  • Ensure Owners apartments are maintained and kept to a high standard in their absence
  • Organising emergency 24-hour cover on rotation basis with other managers
  • Handling complaints
  • Delivering high standards of Customer Service and Hospitality
  • Ensuring that the business is driving towards maximum profits
  • Oversee collection of waste from property

Must haves:

  • 10+ years experience within Estate Management
  • Hands on approach to being a leader
  • Experience dealing with Service Charge budgets
  • Staff management experience within a similar environment
  • Exceptional customer service
  • Target driven and able to work independently
  • Ideally have Financial and Accounting experience
  • IOSH/NeBOSH/IRPM qualification (preferred, not essential)
  • Strong knowledge with Section 20 notices
  • Have experience conducting site inspections, ensuring Health & Safety regulations are adhered to and having a basic working knowledge in building maintenance systems

Package & Hours:

  • Salary circa £45,000
  • Mon-Fri 9am-6pm
  • Plus other benefits
